12/03/2016: Community Bank & Trust of Florida Senior Trust Officer Earns National Designation

lee-ebanksVice President and Senior Trust Officer, Lee Ebanks, was recently awarded the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®) designation from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.

 The Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation is a graduate level specialization in estate planning, obtained in addition to already recognized professional credentials within the various disciplines of estate planning. The AEP® designation is available to attorneys (JD), Chartered Life Underwriters® (CLU®), Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Certified Financial Planners™ (CFP®), Chartered Financial Consultants® (ChFC®), and Certified Trust and Financial Advisors (CTFA). It is awarded to recognize estate planning professionals who meet stringent requirements of experience, knowledge, education, professional reputation, and character.

Mr. Ebanks has been in trust and investment services for over 33 years. His primary responsibilities include management of the trust department, as well as senior administrative officer focusing on the administration, development and servicing of fiduciary and advisory relationships. Mr. Ebanks received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida and is a graduate of the FBA Trust School. He currently serves as Treasurer of Estate Planning Council of Marion County and is a member of the North Central Florida Estate Planning Council.

He also serves as a Professional Advisor for the North Central Florida Community Foundation. He is also a member of the Gainesville Quarterback Club and serves as a board member of the University of Florida Alumni Association’s TitleTown Gator Club.

The NAEPC is a national organization of professional estate planners and affiliated local estate planning councils focused on establishing and monitoring the highest professional and educational standards. NAEPC fosters public awareness of the quality services rendered by professionals who meet these standards. NAEPC builds a team approach involving cross-professional disciplines to better serve the public’s need for estate planning.
