Emily Humphreys-Beher was recently awarded the Legacy Award by Community Foundation of North Central Florida for her work in helping clients complete a transformative charitable gift.

Humphreys-Beher, who is an Accredited Estate Planner and Certified Trust Financial Advisor, has offered her services to countless clients in the Alachua and Marion County areas over the past 25 years. Her work with numerous clients in assisting them make donations to local organizations has made a large impact on the local community.

“Emily is very dedicated to her job,” said Lee Ebanks, vice president and Trust Officer for Community Bank & Trust of Florida. “I truly admire her for the passion she shows in helping our clients and the citizens of our community.”

In addition to serving as a Professional Advisor for the Community Foundation of North Central Florida, Emily also donates her personal time to local charities such as The Village at Gainesville Foundation where she serves on the Philanthropic Committee.

“Emily worked with a donor to secure a large gift for us,” said David Kremer, foundation Director for The Village at Gainesville. “Those monies were used to help improve our facility. Emily was a part of making that happen.”

The Community Foundation, in partnership with the North Central Florida Estate Planning Council, established the Legacy Awards to recognize the crucial interaction between donor, professional advisor, charity and local corporations necessary in creating an effective and meaningful charitable gift.
