Fostering Prosperity Through Financial Knowledge and Education

Understanding financial principals and the management of money can be the key to prosperity for individuals, as well as their communities. Each year many of our employees volunteer their time to reach out to local schools and groups to provide classes on topics ranging from basic budgeting to identity theft.

Through these courses you can learn how to make your money work for you -- from budgeting strategies to saving for the future. You can also discover what's important in building the credit you need and the best ways to manage it. No matter what you want to do in life - buying a home, building a business, sending a child to college, securing a comfortable retirement - gaining solid financial knowledge and skills is one of the keys to reaching your goals.

Besides the courses that we make available, there are many other helpful outside resources as well, including the FDIC Money Smart financial education program. The program contains both web-based classes as well as printable resource books available in both Spanish and English. Links to the program are below.

Money Smart Computer Based Instruction (CBI)

The Money Smart Computer Based Instruction (CBI) is a friendly and easy-to-use financial education tool that allows you to go through the learning modules of the Money Smart curriculum with a computer. The CBI is for users age 13 and over.

Each module generally takes between 20-30 minutes to complete. Students receive ongoing feedback and, upon successful completion of the module, can print out a personalized certificate of completion.
